Profile
Career Journey
Sakshi has a strong interest in Positive Behaviour Support, mental health, and supporting psychosocial needs. She works collaboratively with clients and their support networks to build strategies for emotional regulation, executive functioning, and everyday independence.
Her experience includes supporting individuals with diagnoses such as ASD, ADHD, GDD, ABI, and Down Syndrome. Sakshi has also worked in rural and remote communities, including Alice Springs, and has a particular passion for working alongside Aboriginal communities to provide meaningful, culturally sensitive support.
Her approach is rooted in trauma-informed, person-centred practice and is guided by frameworks such as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Theory of Mind, and strengths-based strategies. She believes in looking at the whole person and their environment not just the behaviour and values collaborative, open communication with families and teams.
Sakshi loves being a Behaviour Support Practitioner because it allows her to help people build confidence, celebrate progress, and take meaningful steps toward their goals.
She finds it especially rewarding to upskill support networks, so families and teams feel equipped, aligned, and empowered to create lasting positive change.
Outside of work, Sakshi enjoys long walks, travelling, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out with her Italian Greyhound. She’s also a big fan of Pilates, matcha, and discovering new cafés and podcasts.
